Introduction
Want more general info? See BackupPC – Network backup to disk.
This describes installing BackupPC (http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/) on a CentOS 4 server, but installing on a recent Fedora or other redhat based system should be similar. Some of the pre-requisites require use of the [rpmforge (http://rpmforge.net/)] repository if you want to install them from rpm using yum (recommended).
This writeup is fairly platform specific – not much effort is made to worry about distro specific differences. But that said I’ve done a similar install on Suse 9.3, and while I didn’t write it up, it’s similar except for things like paths and software sources.
